Configuring Basic Settings in Initial Settings

Configure Manage Location, Manage Printer, and Manage Paper. Also, modify the judgement criteria of Quick Color Adjustment in Set Threshold as required.
  1. On the Initial Settings screen, click Manage Location.Manage Location
  2. Click Add Location.
  3. Enter the name of the location to register the printer, and then click OK.
      Note:
    • You can enter up to 48 characters for the location name.
    • You cannot use \/:*?' "<>|+.
    • If the Manage Location screen is not displayed after clicking OK, check if the correct characters are entered and the number of characters does not exceed the limit.
    • Repeat steps 2 and 3 to register two or more locations. Add locations when managing printers by site, etc.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Manage Printer Add Printer.
  6. Specify Printer Name, DFE Type, and other settings.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Add Paper.
  9. Specify Paper Name, Calibration Set Name, and Paper Type, and then click OK.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click Set Threshold.
  12. Specify the judgement criteria of Quick Color Adjustment, and then click OK.
      Note:
    • For more information, see Setting Items on the Set Threshold Screen.
    • When you select Other in DFE Type in step , click Miscellaneous in the Initial Settings screen, and confirm the setting in Save Profile.
    The basic configuration of Initial Settings is complete. Next, register the chart.
