Configuring Basic Settings in Initial Settings

Configure Manage Location, Manage Printer, and Manage Paper. Also, modify the judgement criteria of Quick Color Adjustment in Set Threshold as required.
  1. On the Initial Settings page, select Manage Location.
  2. Select Add Location.
  3. Enter the name of the location to register the printer, then select OK.
      Note:
    • You can enter up to 48 characters for the location name.
    • You cannot use \/:*?' "<>|+.
    • If the Manage Location page is not displayed after selecting OK, check if the correct characters are entered and the number of characters does not exceed the limit.
    • Repeat steps 2 and 3 to register two or more locations. Add locations when managing printers by site, and so on.
  4. Select OK.
  5. Select Manage Printer Add Printer.
  6. Specify Printer Name, DFE Type, and other settings.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Select Add Paper.
  9. Specify Paper Name, Calibration Set Name, and Paper Type, and then select OK.
  10. Select OK.
  11. Select Set Threshold.
  12. Specify the judgement criteria of Quick Color Adjustment, and then select OK.
      Note:
    • For more information, see Settings on the Set Threshold Page.
    • When you select Other in DFE Type in step , select Miscellaneous in the Initial Settings page, and confirm the setting in Save Profile.
    The basic configuration of Initial Settings is complete. Next, register the chart.
