Paper Jams

Open the front door of the scanner and remove the paper if the following message is displayed: Open the door and remove the document inside.

    CAUTION:
  • When replacing paper or removing jammed paper, make sure not to trap or injure your fingers.

    Open the front door of the scanner, and then follow these instructions to remove the jammed paper. The instructions are also printed inside the front door of the scanner.
  3. Frequent Paper Jams
    If paper jams occur frequently, inspect the paper condition, confirm proper placement on the paper input tray, and verify that the paper size is appropriate.
  4. Paper Ejection Issue
    If the ejected chart or document that has been scanned is wrinkled or not neatly stacked, use the auxiliary tray that is provided with the scanner. Otherwise, a paper jam might occur.
