Front and Right View

Describes the basic components on the front and right side of the scanner.

Front and Right View of the Scanner

1. Front door

Open the front door if you need to remove jammed paper. For more information, see Paper Jams.

2. Paper input tray

Open the tray to place the sample or color chart you want to scan. For more information, see Placing a Sample or Color Chart on the Input Tray.

3. Paper guides

After you place a sample or color chart on the paper input tray, slide the paper guides until they are aligned with the edges of the paper.

4. Extension tray

If you place a sample or color chart longer than 210 mm (8.3 inches) on the paper input tray, pull out and extend the extension tray.

Note:

Avoid applying excessive force to the front door, input tray, paper guides, or extension tray. Doing so might damage the scanner.
