Front and Right View

Describes the basic components located at the front and right side of the machine.

Front and Right View of the Machine

1. Front door

Open the cover when removing jammed paper. For more information, see Paper Jams.

2. Paper tray

Open the tray when placing an original or color chart to scan on the machine. For more information, see Placing an Original or Color Chart on the Paper Tray.

3. Paper guides

Slide the paper guides until they are aligned with the edges of the paper when setting the original or color chart on the paper tray.

4. Extension tray

Extend the extension tray when placing an original or color chart that is longer than 210 mm (8.3 inches) on the paper tray.

Note:

Do not apply an excessive force to the front door, source tray, paper guides, or extension tray. Doing so might damage the machine.
