Printing the Chart for Color Verification with Fiery

This section describes the settings used for printing the chart for color verification using a Fiery DFE.

To print the chart for color verification with Fiery:

  1. Put the paper in the paper tray.
      Note:
    • The paper in the tray must match the paper type associated with the Paper Name selected in the Add/Edit Chart dialog. To display the Add/Edit Chart dialog, go to the Initial Settings page.
  2. In the left pane of the FieryJob Properties dialog, select MEDIA.
  3. Select Paper Catalog or manually select the Paper Type, Paper Weight, and Paper Size.
  4. In the left pane, select LAYOUT, and set Duplex to Off.
  5. In the left pane, select COLOR, then select the Output profile generated as a result of the color adjustment process.
  6. Select the CMYK source associated with the Color Verification value selected in the Add/Edit Chart dialog.
      Note:
    • If JC Digital, Wedge is the selected Color Verification value, select Japan Color 2011 Coated as the CMYK source.
    • If ISO12647-8 Coated V3 is the selected Color Verification value, select PSO Coated FOGRA51 (EFI) as the CMYK source.
    • If Verify GRACoL 2013, Wedge is the selected Color Verification value, select GRACoL2013 CRPC6 (EFI) as the CMYK source.
  7. Set the CMYK rendering intent to Relative Colorimetric.
  8. Clear the Black compensation point checkbox.
  9. Set Print CMYK gray using black only to Off.
  10. Set Black text and graphics to Normal.
  11. In the left pane, select IMAGE, then select the same Halftone mode as the one you used when you created the output profile selected in Initial Settings.
