Connecting the Scanner to the Computer

To connect the scanner to the computer, use the two provided USB cables.

    Important:
  • Do not use other USB cables than the cables provided with the scanner. Proper operation of the scanner is guaranteed only if the scanner is connected to the computer via the provided USB cables.
  • Do not use a USB extension cable or a hub.
  • Use the USB 3.0 and USB 2.0/2.1 ports on the computer. You can also use two USB 3.0 ports, as the USB 3.0 port supports USB 2.0/2.1.

To connect the scanner to the computer:

  1. Make sure that the power indicator of the scanner is not lit.Power indicator
  2. If the power indicator is lit, turn off the scanner using the power switch on the left side of the scanner.On/Off switch
  3. Connect one of the USB cables to the USB A 3.0 port on the left side of the scanner.USB ports
  4. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB 3.0 port of the computer.
  5. Connect the second USB cable to the USB A 2.0 interface on the left side of the scanner.
  6. Connect the other end of the second USB cable to a USB 2.0/2.1 or USB 3.0 port of the computer.
  7. Make sure that the power plug of the scanner is securely inserted into the outlet.
  8. Use the power switch of the scanner to turn on the scanner.On/Off switch
