Installing the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster

Use this section to install the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster on the computer connected to the scanner.
    Note:
  • You cannot use the Quick Color Adjustment function with a Fiery controller unless you install the Fiery Command WorkStation first.
  • Use a static IPv4 address on the computer. The RICOH Auto Color Adjuster does not start up properly if the IP address of the computer changes.

To install the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster:

  1. Download the installer from the manufacturer website, and save it to the computer used with the scanner.
  2. Log in to the computer using an account with administrator privileges.
  3. If not already connected, connect the scanner to the computer dedicated for installing the application, using the two provided USB cables.
  4. If the scanner is switched off, switch it on.
  5. Run the downloaded AutoColorAdjusterSetup_Verxxxx.exe file.
      Note:
    • xxxx varies depending upon the release version of the application.
    The setup wizard is displayed.
  6. In the setup wizard, select Install.
  7. If prompted to allow this application to make changes to your device, select Yes.
    While the setup is in progress, a second setup wizard is displayed.
  8. In the second setup wizard, select Next.RICOH Auto Color Adjuster Setup dialog
  9. Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement, then select Next.
  10. Enter the IP Address and Port Number of the server computer. For information about finding the IP address and the port number, see Finding the IP Address and Finding the Port Number With Command Prompt.
  11. Select Next.
  12. Select Install.
    The installation process starts.
  13. When the installation is complete, select Finish.
    The second setup wizard closes.
  14. In the first setup wizard, select Close.
