Error Messages

This section describes how to solve the problem if an error message is displayed.

Message Cause Solution and reference
Failed to start the application, please try again. Call service if this error message is displayed repeatedly. Failed to initialize the variables for Color Sample Matching. Create a backup of the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster settings, uninstall the software, and then install it again.

If the error persists, contact your service representative.
Failed to start the application. There is a network problem, please check. The client computer failed to access the server, or a problem is occurring in an application on the server.
  • Check that the computer is connected to the network.
  • Restart Windows on the computer and server.

If the error persists, contact your service representative.
An error has occurred in the following location.Turn the main power off and back on, then restart the application.If the error occurs again, please call service.

SCXXX-XX

 A malfunction that might require a repair occurred on the machine. Turn off the power of the machine, and then turn it on again. For details, see Turning On the Machine and Turning Off the Machine.

SCXXX-XX

 A malfunction that might require a repair occurred in the communication between the machine and the computer.

If the error persists, contact your service representative with the message and SC number.
Colorimeter has not been connected. Connect the colorimeter and then restart the application. A problem occurred in the communication between the machine and the computer.
  • Check that the machine and the computer are connected using two USB cables.
  • If the machine is turned off, turn it on. If the machine is turned on, turn it off and then on again. For details, see Turning On the Machine and Turning Off the Machine.
  • Quit Quick Color Adjustment, Color Sample Matching, Colorimetry, and the Settings dialog when they are running, and then start them again from the application menu. If only the application menu is displayed, start the RICOH Auto Color Adjuster again.
  • Restart Windows. When you are using a client computer, restart Windows on the server also.
Not secure The SSL certificate that you are using when accessing the server online from the client computer is not installed on the server. Add the SSL certificate to the server. For details, see RICOH Auto Color Adjuster: Installation Guide.
The license has expired. Please update the license. The license has expired.
  • Contact your sales representative. When the server computer is connected to the Internet, the status of the license is updated automatically after the license is renewed.
  • The license information is displayed at the bottom of the menu dialog.
  • To update the license information, select the Settings button (Settings button), then select License Management in the left pane.
