Operation Flow in Quick Color Adjustment

Use the Quick Color Adjustment function to scan a color chart printed with the target printer, for obtaining an ICC profile. Then, import the ICC profile to the DFE and set it as the output ICC profile on the printer, before running a print job. Repeat the process regularly to generate the ICC output profile again to reflect the changes in the printer condition and printing environment.

After adjusting colors, you can use the color verification chart. Repeat the process regularly to verify if the colors that the printer outputs are still within the range set on the Default Settings page.

Adjust or verify colors as needed before a large print run, after printer maintenance, whenever you change the paper type, ink type, printer condition, or printer configuration.

  • If the colors have not yet been adjusted, adjust the colors of your printer.
  • If the colors have already been adjusted, meaning an ICC profile has been created and imported to the printer, verify the colors produced by your printer. If the color verification fails Failed, adjust the colors again, and then execute a new color verification.
  • If the color verification still fails, check the printer settings and condition, update the verification limits on the Default Settings page, or create and use a custom color space. For details about custom color spaces, see Creating a Custom Color Space.
