Printing and Saving Jobs

After you finish editing jobs and specify all the required settings, you can send the jobs to the printer, and then check their progress and results. You can also save the jobs for later use.
    Important:

  • Make sure that both the computer and the printer that you want to use are properly connected to the network. For more information, see the documentation for your printer.

  • To print jobs using TotalFlow Production Manager, you must first set up TotalFlow Production Manager and make sure it is connected to the network. For more information, see the TotalFlow Production Manager documentation.

  • You can also process jobs and send them to a printer automatically using hot folders. For more information, see Using Hot Folders with Presets.

    Before you print a job, you can preview the output in the Reader view. The Reader view lets you flip through the pages of the job and preview the job settings to make sure that they are correct.

    You can choose to print only selected pages from a job.

    You can choose to print only a range of pages from a job.
  6. Printing a Job with Both Color and Black and White Sheets on Separate Printers
    To reduce costs, instead of printing all the sheets on a color printer, you can print the color sheets on a color printer and then use them as inserts on a black and white printer.
  7. Saving Jobs
    You can save jobs as RJF, JDF, or PDF files for later use.
  8. Checking Job Progress and Results
    You can use the Alerts panel to manage jobs and check their progress and results.
