Task checklist

Here are the tasks you need to complete in this chapter. Check each item as you complete the task.

Complete the installation in this order:

1. Prepare the primary servers for installation.

   Complete the procedure Preparing the primary computer for installation on the lead primary server and the alternate primary server.

2. Optional: Download the installation files.

   Complete the procedure Downloading installation files. You only need to download the files once, then copy them to each server when you install.

3. Optional: Install from a remote directory.

   Complete the procedure Installing from a remote directory.

4. Optional: Prepare for automated installation.

   If you plan to use the automated installation, complete the procedure Creating an installer response file. Create a separate installer response file for each server or use the same response file if the configuration is identical.

5. Install RICOH ProcessDirector on the lead primary server.

   Complete one of these procedures on the lead primary server:

   • Installing the base product (interactive mode)
   • Installing the base product (automated mode)

6. Configure the lead primary server.

   Complete the procedure Configuring the lead primary server.

7. Install RICOH ProcessDirector on the alternate primary server.

   Complete one of these procedures on the alternate primary server:

   • Installing the base product (interactive mode)
   • Installing the base product (automated mode)

8. Configure the alternate primary server.

   Complete the procedure Configuring the alternate primary server.

9. Configure the UI server.

   Complete the procedure Configuring the UI server.
