Starting and stopping a multiple primary system

   After you install all servers and configure the shared directory permissions, you must start each server in the correct sequence.

   Use this procedure to stop all servers for planned maintenance, such as a scheduled power outage.

   Use this procedure to take one primary server offline for maintenance while the other primary server continues processing.
4. Starting an application server
   To run processing steps on an application server, the application server must be running. If the application server is not configured as a service, you must start the application server manually.
5. Stopping an application server
   You can stop an application server through the Windows Start menu. Stopping the server prevents RICOH ProcessDirector from accessing any external programs on the Windows system.
