When to Use the PRESENT and DIRECTION Subcommands
You should use the PRESENT and DIRECTION subcommands if you are building a form definition that will be used:
- With wide forms on an continuous forms printer when the print data has been formatted in the DOWN print direction (see The DOWN Direction for Continuous Forms Printers)
- When you do not know which type of form (narrow or wide) will be used on an continuous forms printer (see The DOWN Direction for Continuous Forms Printers)
Note: References to an continuous forms printer point of origin also applies to all continuous-forms
printers except the 3800.
