Usage Guidelines
This attribute is related to snmpv3-username, snmpv3-authentication-type, snmpv3-authentication-password, snmpv3-privacy-type and snmpv3-privacy-password attributes.
- To use the minimum security level, enter a username.
- To use the medium security level:
- Enter a username and an authentication password.
- Select the authentication type or leave the default value.
- To use the maximum security level:
- Select the authentication type or leave the default value.
- Enter a username and an authentication password.
- Select the privacy type, or leave the default value.
- Enter a privacy password.
Note: This attribute is ignored if the snmp-version attribute
is not set to SNMPv3.
If InfoPrint Manager SNMP v3 security is set higher than the one on the printer, the communication will still be possible because the printer uses only the SNMP attributes it needs.
