Setting up InfoPrint Manager for AIX to use an ipdata file system

On an InfoPrint Manager for AIX system, NFS or other file sharing is required between workstations and the InfoPrint Manager server. If you plan to connect your AIX server to Windows workstations and your InfoPrint Manager AIX server is running on an AIX supported version, the IBM package Samba for AIX is required. Samba for AIX supports a NetBIOS connection. To access current information supporting the Samba for AIX package, go to https://developer.ibm.com/articles/au-aix_samba/.

Note: Samba is incompatible with IBM Fast Connect. Any existing version of Fast Connect must be uninstalled.
