Setting up the InfoPrint AFP Driver on a Windows system

To set up the InfoPrint AFP Driver on a Windows system, follow these steps:

  1. Click the WindowsStart button and select Settings Bluetooth & devices Printers & scanners.
  2. In the Printers & scanners window, click Add device next to Add a printer or scanner.
  3. Wait for Windows to search, then click Add a new device manually next to The printer that I want isn't listed.
  4. In the Add Printer dialog, select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and click Next.
  5. In the Choose a printer port dialog, select Use an existing port, and choose FILE: (Print to File) from the list, and click Next.
  6. In the next dialog, click Have disk without selecting a printer or a manufacturer.
  7. In the Install from disk dialog, type the path to the directory that you copied the AFP driver files into (for example, C:\afpdriver) and click OK.
  8. Select the printer that you plan to use this driver with from the list and click Next.
      Note:
    • If your printer does not appear in the list, select InfoPrint AFP nnn, where nnn is the resolution of your printer.
  9. In the Type a printer name dialog, accept the name of the printer and do not set it to be your default printer. Click Next.
  10. In the Printer sharing dialog, select Do not share this printer and click Next.
  11. When prompted, do not print a test page and click Finish.
      Note:
    • If a dialog displays a warning that the driver is unsigned or has not passed Windows Logo testing, click Install this driver software anyway to finish installing the driver.
