Viewing PDF publications on an AIX, Linux, or Windows system

InfoPrint Manager provides software publications in PDF files on the publications DVD-ROM. You can also go to the RICOH Software Information Center at https://help.ricohsoftware.com/swinfocenter to download the software publications of InfoPrint Manager for AIX, InfoPrint Manager for Linux, or InfoPrint Manager for Windows.

To view or print the publications on the DVD-ROMs:

  1. Log in to AIX as root or as a member of the system group. For Linux, log in as root or as a member of the sys group.
  2. Insert the InfoPrint Manager publications DVD-ROM into the drive.
  3. If your AIX or Linux server or Windows system has an internet browser, such as Mozilla Firefox, select the setup.html file in the appropriate language directory and click the descriptions to view the appropriate PDF file.

    For example, if you use English, access the /cdrom/pubs/setup.html file.

  4. To use the Adobe Acrobat Viewer, enter: 
    cd /usr/lpp/Acrobat3/bin
./acroexch
    Click Help to learn how to view or print a publication.
  5. If you have installed the Adobe Acrobat Viewer on Windows, you can print or view the InfoPrint Manager PDF publications from your Windows system. On Windows, the publications directory is called d:pubslanguage, where d: is the identifier of your DVD-ROM drive and language is the appropriate language for the books.
