Deleting orphaned files from the system

Orphan files should only occur when there's an error. If you do not want to identify and correct errors, delete all files that are older than some site-determined period, such as three days.

To manually delete individual files:

  1. In the Management Console, double-click the MVS Download receiver that you want to clean out.
  2. In the Viewing: Receiver xxx dialog, find the View Job Data field and click Browse. The orphan and .CMD files that remain on the InfoPrint Manager server are listed in the MVS Download Receiver Data dialog that opens.
  3. Highlight the job to be deleted and right-click it, then select Delete from the menu that appears.
