Precautions When Registering a Profile

Register the profile created in the color adjustment process to a DFE to use it.

The procedure for registering a profile varies depending on the setting in DFE Type in Initial Settings. For details, see RICOH Auto Color Adjuster: Installation Guide.

    Important:
  • Before performing color adjustment, check whether the profile needs to be registered to the DFE manually.

  • When the DFE name is specified in DFE Type: The profile is registered to the DFE automatically. No user operation is required. Also, the profile is assigned to Calibration Set Name that is registered in the Add Paper screen of Initial Settings when using Fiery.
  • When Other is specified in DFE Type: Register the profile that is stored on the computer to the DFE manually. For details about the operation, see the manual of the DFE.

The profile is saved to the folder that is specified in Save Profile that appears when you click Miscellaneous in Initial Settings. For details, see RICOH Auto Color Adjuster: Installation Guide.

    Important:
  • Do not update the Fiery Command WorkStation or ColorGATE Productionserver that is installed on the computer that is connected to the machine. Automatic registration of a profile might not work properly if the operating environment changes as a result of the update.
