Submitting Print Jobs through the LPD from other UNIX systems
You can use any LPR client, but to be able to specify advanced InfoPrint options on the -o flag, you must make sure that your LPR client supports -o options. Sample code for an InfoPrint Manager LPR client called lprafp is provided with InfoPrint Manager for Linux and is available from the /usr/lpp/psf/utils/lpr directory. This directory contains sample code of the lprafp client for UNIX platforms. This code must be compiled as described in the README file that is located in the /usr/lpp/psf/utils/lpr directory.
Be sure to specify the LPD subsystem in the /etc/inittab file to make sure that the client starts on a system reboot and is always available.
