Understanding InfoPrint Manager for Linux features

These features are currently available only in InfoPrint Manager for Linux:

• Support for printers that use CUPS printer back-end programs (InfoPrint Managerpioinfo, InfoPrint Managerpiorpdm for Ricoh printers, socket, ipp, lpd, and so on)
• InfoPrint Manager Management Interface for carrying out tasks not supported by the InfoPrint Manager Administration GUI, including security administration
• Distributed Print Facility (DPF) for host printing (This feature is also available in InfoPrint Manager for Windows, but not in InfoPrint Manager for AIX.)
• PSF Upload TCP/IP (This feature is also available in InfoPrint Manager for AIX, but not in InfoPrint Manager for Windows.)

If you require the features currently available only in InfoPrint Manager for Linux, but prefer the AIX or Windows platform, consider a mixed environment of AIX, Linux, and Windows systems. In many cases, a mixed environment provides you with immediate access to all InfoPrint Manager features.
