Usage Guidelines

  • When this attribute is set to true and an inline OpenType font has an object identifier (OID), and if the font is not already captured (that is, made resident) in the printer, InfoPrint Manager downloads the font and tells the printer to capture it.
  • When this attribute is set to false (the default) and an inline OpenType font has an object identifier (OID), InfoPrint Manager tries to activate the font in the printer. If the font is not in the printer, InfoPrint Manager downloads the font, but does not tell the printer to capture it.
  • When an inline OpenType font does not have an object identifier (OID), InfoPrint Manager can download the font, but it cannot be captured by the printer.
Note: A printer must support OpenType font capture to take advantage of capture-inline-otf-resources.

For more information about the use of OpenType and WorldType fonts with InfoPrint Manager, see “Using OpenType fonts” in the appropriate InfoPrint Manager procedures manual.
