GUI label
SNMP is active
DSS
AIX, BSD, CUPS, DFE, PSF, IPP, Passthrough
Type
Non-settable, single-valued
Allowed Values
InfoPrint Manager sets this value to one of these fixed values:
- true
- false
Default Value
If you have defined a value for the destination-tcpip-internet-address attribute and InfoPrint Manager has established SNMP communication with the printer device, true; otherwise false.
Usage Guidelines
- If you are using SNMPv3 and the snmp-active attribute is not set to true, the context-name attribute might not be set. Some printers require the context-name attribute to be set to a specific printer vendor value to allow SNMPv3 connections.
- For DFE printers, the SNMP communication is only used for determining the printer
condition. SNMP defaulting of attributes is disabled. However, you can list the device-specific
attributes with the pdls command by specifying
-r all-device
