Using the Pull Print or Anyplace Functions with a Ricoh StreamlineNX or Equitrac Server

To submit a Pull Print or Anyplace job, you can use the LDAP-enabled InfoPrint clients. Make sure that one of the InfoPrint Manager LDAP-enabled clients is installed on your computer. For installation instructions and LDAP configuration, see the appropriate InfoPrint Manager: Getting Started for your operating system.

When you send jobs to a Pull Print actual destination, you must access the printer’s panel to display the jobs.

To print or delete the jobs submitted to InfoPrint Manager:

  1. Go to the printer and authenticate in the Login screen with the same user id that you use with the Info- Print LDAP-enabled client.
  2. Select the jobs you want to print or delete.
Note: Depending on the printer model, you can select individual jobs or all the listed jobs.
  3. Press Print or Delete.

If the printer is idle when you request your job to print, it should start printing. If the printer is busy printing other jobs, then it won't print until those jobs are finished. Until they are scheduled to print, they still appear in the job list. If selected again, no further actions are taken by the server.

When requested to print, the Anyplace job is moved from its Anyplace queue to the Pull Print actual destination's queue, and is just like a released Pull Print job. If the printer is idle when you request your job to print, it should start printing. If the printer is busy printing other jobs, then it does not print your job until those jobs are finished. Until it is scheduled to print, it appears in the Pull Print job list. If selected again, no further actions are taken by the server.

Important: Depending on the printer model, the printer console and behavior might vary. For more information about the printer models supporting this function, see the Ricoh StreamlineNX or Nuance Equitrac documentation depending on the Pull Print solution that you are using.

The pre-released or post-released jobs are subject to the InfoPrint Manager job commands. These jobs can be deleted, modified, paused, resubmitted, and so on. The post-released Anyplace Print jobs are no longer considered Anyplace jobs but are treated just like post-released Pull Print jobs. Depending on actions or modifications made, the job might never print on the printer it was released to.
