Using font capture with OpenType fonts

Font capture allows a printer to capture a downloaded font and treat it as if it were a printer-resident font. Treating a downloaded font as a printer-resident font improves performance for future jobs that use the same fonts. Printers retain captured fonts across job boundaries and power cycles. Captured fonts can be deleted from the printer when additional space is required. Because OpenType fonts are large, you might want to make sure that your InfoPrint printer is set to support font capture.

If you want to capture OpenType fonts that reside in a library on a particular drive, click the Font Installer's Capture check box. (far right column of the Top pane) for each font that you want to capture. For more information, see the Resource Installer online help system.

Note: Do not capture sensitive fonts, such as signatures, because an unauthorized person could access the captured font, even from another system.
